TDA is the only studio in the Tri-Valley participating in university-backed research on how dance affects children’s mood. Our study with researchers from the University of Pennsylvania has been accepted for peer-reviewed publication at Frontiers in Psychology, and finds dance class is consistently associated with maintained or improved mood in children ages 5 to 17.

How TDA Tuition Works
One simple model. Your monthly tuition is based on how many hours per week your dancer trains — with two flat shelves at the bottom for accessible entry, a per-quarter-hour ladder above, and an unlimited plateau at the top.
Begin tier — $115/month*. Whether your dancer takes a 30-minute Twinkle Babies class or a 60-minute Combo class, the rate is the same. We keep entry-level pricing flat so families exploring dance for the first time aren’t penalized for picking a slightly longer class.
Build tier — $140/month*. Two classes per week, or one longer class (up to 2 hours total), at the same rate. This is where dancers begin to develop range across styles — and where the per-class economics start to favor you.
Beyond two hours, pricing scales per quarter-hour until it reaches $592/month* at twelve hours per week. Past that point, training is effectively unlimited — the more your dancer trains, the lower the per-class cost.
*Rates shown are based on a 4-meeting month. Actual monthly charges may vary slightly when a month contains 3 or 5 class meetings due to calendar and holiday variance. Your per-class rate stays the same; only the number of meetings in the month shifts.

Choose Your Starting Point
Two transparent tiers for new and returning dancers. Dancers committing to three or more classes per week typically join our Performing Company — see below.
- Twinkle Baby & Me (ages 18 months – 2 years)
- Twinkle Babies (ages 2 – 3)
- Twinkle Stars (ages 3 – 4 or 4 – 5)
- Mini K-Pop Stars, Mini Stars Combo, Jr Stars Combo
- Any single Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, or Contemporary class
- Two classes of any combination (Ballet + Jazz, Combo + Tap, etc.)
- One longer class (1.25 to 2 hours, such as Ballet 3/4)
- Dancers ready to develop range across styles
- Strong recital experience with both classes performing
*Based on a 4-meeting month. Tuition bills monthly at a per-class rate, so months with 3 or 5 class meetings adjust slightly. The per-class rate stays the same.
Approximate per-class economics, assuming one-hour classes throughout.
| Weekly Training | Monthly Tuition | Per Class |
|---|---|---|
| 1 class / 1 hour | $115 | ~ $29 |
| 2 classes / 2 hours | $140 | ~ $17.50 |
| 3 classes / 3 hours | $212 | ~ $17.66 |
| 4 classes / 4 hours | $268 | ~ $16.75 |
| 5 classes / 5 hours | $320 | ~ $16.00 |
| 12+ classes / unlimited | $592 | ~ $12 or less |
Adding a second class nearly halves your per-class cost. Adding a twelfth keeps cutting it.
Ready for three or more classes per week?
Dancers taking three or more classes per week typically join our Performing Company, where they train across styles, perform throughout the season, and audition for competitive and showcase opportunities. Tuition is structured around the same ladder you see above, with the unlimited plateau at $592/month for dancers training twelve or more hours per week.
Because Performing Company placement involves audition and track selection, we don’t publish a single number. Instead, schedule a conversation with our enrollment team and we’ll walk you through it.

Tuition is based on your dancer’s total weekly training hours. Pink rows are the flat-entry shelves. Green row is the unlimited plateau. Pricing is identical at all three TDA locations.
Note on monthly variance: the rates shown above are based on a 4-meeting month. Your tuition is built on a per-class rate that bills monthly — so months with 3 or 5 class meetings (due to calendar and holiday variance) will adjust slightly. The per-class rate is constant; only the number of meetings in the month shifts.

Frequently Asked
Why are some entry tiers the same price?
We keep entry-level tuition flat to remove a small but real friction for new families: a parent shouldn’t have to choose between a shorter and longer class based on a $10 difference. Above two hours per week, tuition scales per quarter-hour because the per-class cost has already meaningfully dropped.
Does tuition vary between Fremont, Livermore, and San Ramon?
No. Tuition is identical at all three TDA locations. You pay based on weekly training hours, regardless of which studio your dancer attends.
Are there sibling or multi-month discounts?
Family discounts and seasonal incentives change throughout the year. Ask your enrollment director about current options when you register, or reach out via your studio’s contact page.
What’s included in the registration fee?
During our current offer, the $49 registration also includes your dancer’s complete dress code kit (leotard, tights, and program-specific items), a TDA branded tee, and Daddy Daughter Dance for both recitals at no additional cost. After June 1, the registration fee moves to $69 with the dress code kit still included.
Can my dancer try a class before enrolling?
Yes. Most classes allow drop-ins by appointment, especially Twinkle Babies and Twinkle Stars. Contact the location nearest you to schedule a trial.
How does billing work?
Your tuition is built on a per-class rate that bills monthly based on how many class meetings fall in that month. The rates shown on this page assume a 4-meeting month, which is what most months look like.
Some months contain 3 class meetings (often when a holiday falls on your dancer’s class day) and some contain 5 (when the calendar happens to line up that way). Your monthly charge adjusts accordingly so you only pay for the meetings your dancer can actually attend.
The per-class rate is constant. The number of meetings in the month is what varies.
What if my dancer wants to add a class mid-season?
You can add classes any time. Your monthly tuition will simply move to the next rung on the schedule starting the following billing cycle.
How do we know if our dancer is right for Performing Company?
Performing Company placement is by audition, with tracks suited to dancers at different commitment levels. If your dancer is taking three or more classes per week and shows passion for performing, fill out the form above and our enrollment team will walk you through the options.
