Costume Measurement Week
October 12-17, 2009 is costume measurement week. Your instructor will measure you during class and you will receive information about your costume and how to order it. This process is extremely important to ensure that you are able to select the correct size costume! Please make sure to wear a leotard and tights on measurement day…except for Hip Hop classes. It is important to not wear bulky clothing during measurements.

Why Do We Order Costumes So Early?
Because costumes are “made to order” from several different costume companies all over the country. Every dance studio in the U.S, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and several other countries order costumes for their May and June recitals at the same time. It is incredibly important to order early to “beat” the other studios and to ensure on-time delivery of costumes.

About Order Deadlines:
Because costumes delivery time is 8-16 weeks it is very important that you order your costume as early as possible to ensure on time delivery. CostumeManager.com increases the handling fees on costume items (not shoes, tights, dancewear) at four different times during the year.

• Service Fee per costume item increases from $2 to $2.50 on October 26th, 2009
• Service Fee per costume item increases from $2.50 to $3 on December 2, 2009
• Service Fee per costume item increases from $3 to $5 on January 11th, 2010
• Service Fee per costume item increases from $5 to $10 on February 1, 2010

Hints:
Use girth as your dominant measurement and allow for the growth of your dancer. When in between sizes order the larger size and plan on altering the costume if necessary.
