Tiffany’s Dance Academy creates many performing opportunities for our dancers throughout the year including the Nutcracker, Dancing Holiday Magic, Twinkle Holiday Parade in Disneyland and our Annual Recitals.  Please see below for more information about each of these fun dance experiences.

Nutcracker and Dancing Holiday Magic

Each year, Tiffany’s Dance Academy and ConDanza host a production of The Nutcracker. Over 400 dancers participate during the three shows at the Chabot College Performing Arts Theater in Hayward, CA. The performers are aged 5-18 and are supported by professional dancers from ConDanza in the lead roles.

The Nutcracker Ballet is based on the German folktale in which young Clara Stahlbaum’s favorite Christmas toy, a Nutcracker given to her by the mysterious Drosselmeyer, comes alive. After defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, the Nutcracker Prince takes Clara to a magical Kingdom populated by fairies and toys.

Dancing Holiday Magic

Dancers between the ages of 3-10 have the opportunity to perform in Dancing Holiday Magic.  Shows are presented at the Chabot College Theater in Hayward.  What a great way to celebrate the holiday season!

June Recitals and Shine

June Recitals

The culmination of the dancers’ hard work throughout the season is on display during the June Recitals. These professional quality productions give the students a chance to showcase what they have learned throughout the year, while also getting to experience what it is like to be part of a professional dance production. The dances are all parts of a larger story, and together they create an impressive and entertaining production. In previous years, productions have included “La La Land”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Cinderella”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and more.

Shine Twinkle Star Showcase

The Shine Twinkle Star Showcase gives dancers enrolled in Twinkle Babies and Twinkle Stars classes the chance to show their friends and families all that they have learned with a performance at the end of the dance season. For many students, this may be their first time ever being on stage! The Twinkle Program is designed to promote self-confidence in young children and getting on stage at the end of the year is a critical part of the program. At the end of the Showcase, the performers are honored at a Red Carpet Ceremony!

The Daddy Daughter Dance has been a TDA tradition going on 15 years now. Many fathers claim that the time spent rehearsing and performing with their daughter is time together that they will never forget. The Daddy Daughter dance is open to any dancer over the age of three. Check back here later in the year for more information about how to register!

A few words from one of our dads:  “The day seemed to fly by. When I was standing in the wings, waiting to go on with Emily, I was trying to sear that moment in my mind forever as a treasured memory. Practicing and then performing with Emily has been one of the most enjoyable and proudest moments I have had with my daughter, EVER.”– Mike

Twinkle Holiday Parade

Each fall, dancers are invited to participate in a pre-parade performance down Main street in Disneyland®!  They perform prior to the main Holiday Parade in front of friends, family, and thousands of Disney goers cheering them on.  This year, our Twinkle Holiday Parade will take place on Sunday, November 11.  Dancers must be at least 7 years of age by parade day in order to participate.  Check back here after August 1 for registration information.

Dance for a Difference

In partnership with the non-profit organization, Raising the Barre, dancers have the opportunity to perform in a charity benefit concert. Last season’s performance was held at the Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore benefitting Sunflower Hill.
