TDA began presenting The Nutcracker four years ago. We called it a “project” back then because we were still in the development phase of this all-time favorite. All male and female dancers who will be at least 5 years old by August 1 (no exceptions) may participate in The Nutcracker. A free placement audition (no cuts) will be held on August 22 at the South San Francisco Studio and on August 23rd at the Livermore studio. Age groups and times are listed below.

There is a cost to participating in The Nutcracker. The costs include costumes (approximately $60-$90 per dancer), rehearsal tuition if not part of your weekly ballet class (calculated based on our tuition schedule). Typically the rehearsals add between $40 and $50 per month from September through December. Additionally, tickets to The Nutcracker are approximately $15 - $29.

To register for your audition click your studio below: Note-all auditions are held in either Livermore (for East Bay dancers) or South San Francisco (for SSF dancers).

SSF: Friday. August 22^nd

5pm – 5:30pm – Ages 5-6

5:45 – 6:15pm – Ages 7 – 9

6:30 – 7:30pm – Ages 10+

Tri-Valley: Saturday, August 23^rd

12:30pm – 1:15pm – Ages 5-6

1:30 – 2:15pm – Ages 7-9

2:30 – 4:00pm – Ages 10+ - Dancers on pointe must stay until 4pm, dancers not on pointe are dismissed at 3:30pm.
