Tiffany's News

January 2005

Your Dance Teacher is Performing Live!!!

We are devoting the entire January 2005 issue of Tiffany’s News to a very, very important performance to be held on January 14th

You might not even realize that as a dancer at Tiffany’s Dance Academy, you are witnessing the birth of the East Bay’s first contemporary jazz dance company.

Did you know that your child’s dance instructor is a “Rock Star” in their eyes!  Have you ever wondered if your child’s dance instructor can actually dance?  Ever wondered what a dance performance is?

“Dance, as an art form, is dying!” Says Richard Havey, Choreographer and UNLV Dance Professor who choreagraphed two pieces for this performance.  “We need your support to keep this art form alive!”

“This is your chance to see your dance teachers performing LIVE onstage…for you!  Your child wants to see their favorite ROCK STAR onstage!” says Tiffany Henderson, owner of Tiffany’s Dance Academy and Artistic Director of BAD Company.

The exciting event, sponsored by Wente Vineyards, is called A Taste of Wine and Dance.

Henderson said, “We thought it would be fun to incorporate different types of dance with different types of wine.  Wente stepped up to the plate and is donating all of the wine for the event.  I promise you, this will be an exciting evening that will take you through a wide range of emotions.”

The evening will begin with 60 of Tiffany’s Dance Academy’s young dancers and Jr. BAD Company dancers performing variations of Swan Lake.  Hors d’houevres (included in ticket price), beer, wine and soft drinks will be on hand.

After Swan Lake a surprise guest (you won’t want to miss) will perform.

BAD Company will then delight and dazzle you with five very special dance pieces to be performed by BAD Company.  Each of these five dances shall be accompanied by a different wine selected by Wente.  That’s five very generous tastings to enjoy while watching the show.
