1. The simple leotard, tights, and skirt combination makes it possible for the instructors to see the dancer’s bodies so they can make the proper corrections.

2. Like Karate the different colors represent growth to the next level of dance and give the dancers a goal they can strive to attain.

3. Young dancers are often distracted by their own dancewear. Large skirts and/or tutus become the dancer’s focus instead of the instructor.

4. Learning to dance and work together as a team can be more easily achieved by removing the distraction of different dancewear.

5. Instructors are able to choreograph dances more effectively when the dancers are dressed the same.

Q: Can we ever wear fluffy leotards, skirts and tutus?

A: Of course! We realize that part of the fun of dance for a young child is getting to dress up in all the fun dancewear. On parent observation days, feel free to wear whatever you want to dance class!

A: You can purchase your dancewear anywhere you like; however, we encourage you to visit our dancewear store at Tiffany's Dance Academy in Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, South San Francisco, Costa Mesa or online at tiffanydance.com for the following reasons. 1. Tiffany's Dancewear staff knows the color, shoe, and tights requirements. 2. The prices are excellent and the quality of the dancewear is superb. 3.
