  1. Welcome to all students and parents.  My faculty and I are very excited to get started on an exciting new season of dance!  The first few weeks are a little hectic, so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.  We will ensure that all dancers are in their appropriate level and that everyone feels at home.  I look forward to getting to know each family here at TDA.

  1. Class Placement:  At the beginning of each dance year teachers will be watching students to make sure that each child is in the appropriate level class in order for them to be successful.  If a child needs to be moved either up or down to a level that is more appropriate, we will contact you.  If you have any concerns regarding curriculum or placement please let us know.

  1. TDA welcomes our three new teachers for the 2003-2004 dance year.

·         NICOLE JONES comes to us from St. Paul, Minnesota.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Oklahoma City University and has just completed a 6 month performance contract with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

·         KASEY CHURCH is a native of the Bay Area.  She received her BFA from UC Santa Barbara and has recently earned her Master’s Degree in Dance from Stanford University.  She is currently on Faculty at Stanford University.

·         ERIC CONRAD comes to us from the Santa Cruz area, and brings his enthusiasm and passion for Classical Ballet to TDA.  Eric is a certified teacher of the Russian Vaganova technique.  He is very excited to work with our students.

  1. Need a Babysitter? You are in luck!  Our first “Parent Night Out” will be held on Friday, September 19th from 5pm – 10pm at the East Ave. location and will be hosted by 3 parents and 4 teenage TDA Company dancers.  There will be dancing, crafts, movies, hair and make-up and lots of fun.  The cost is only $20 for 5 hours per child, and $10 for each additional child per family.  All proceeds go to the fundraising attempts for the Company families in order to offset the costs for convention fees, etc.  More information is available on the website and in the studios.  A sign-up sheet will be placed in both locations.  For private, individual babysitting, please see our “babysitter” portfolios in the Livermore office.  For more information please call Lezlie at 606-8187.

  1. Labor Day Holiday:  There will be no classes held in observance of Labor Day, Monday September 1st.  Remember that all holidays are pre-calculated into our monthly tuition costs, no credits will be made.  If you have any questions regarding this policy please contact Barbara at 447-5299.

  1. Adult Classes Special:  TDA is running a special for all parents of dancers for the month of September.  We are reducing the price of each class to motivate you to join in the fun!  No more excuses!  For the month of September any Adult Class is only $20 per month if you have a student enrolled in TDA.  We offer Adult TAP, JAZZ, BALLET, and a Pilates and Yoga based class CORE FITNESS!

    • ADULT JAZZ – Monday 7:30 – 8:30pm

    • ADULT BALLET – Tuesday 6:30 – 7:30pm

    • ADULT TAP – Thursday 6:30 – 7:30pm

    • CORE FITTNESS – Saturday 9:30-10:30am

**All classes are just for fun and fitness.  Don’t be shy, come and try!

  1. TDA Performing Company Fall Concert and Fundraiser:  Please join us on November 14th at the Shrine Event center for an exciting evening of dance, food and fun!  Tickets are available through the office or DIRECTLY from Company dancers for $10 each.  For more information please contact Tiffany at tiffany@tiffanydance.com.

8.        Want to go on a cruise?  - If you’ve never been on a cruise before, now’s the time to try it!!! Join the TDA Performing Company as they perform on the high seas onboard Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas.  The ship sails for seven days on August 15th, 2004 from San Diego. Start planning your family’s summer vacation now!!!  Visit Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta.  The TDA Company Dancers will perform two half-hour shows in the large, beautiful theaters onboard the ship.  The audience will be passengers onboard the ship and of course all of the adoring parents.

The following pricing and payment information includes all food and non-alcoholic beverages, performance fees port charges, and taxes*.  Remember, there is strength in numbers, so the more folks that join us, the lower the price will be and the more fun we will all have!!!

A message from our Travel Counselor - Susie Segal of American Express Travel.

Hi there!  I'm so excited to help all the friends and family of Tiffany's Dance Academy!  You guys will have a blast and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to work with you.  I've known Tiffany and her parents for years and years (and nine or 10 cruises).

Some details:  Tiffany has reserved a block of Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins, Balcony Cabins and Junior Suites.  We can hold the space for 30 days (until September 25th), at the end of which time travelers need to pay a $25 per cabin deposit. An additional $475 per cabin deposit would be due 4 months prior to sailing (mid March). The final payment is due 75 days prior to sailing (end of May).  I accept payment by all major credit cards. I am happy to deal directly with each traveler. One caveat to the above is that if you want to select your stateroom, you need to provide me with the passenger names and a deposit of $500 per cabin.  Without the full deposit, we can't specify which room you will be in...just that you are with the TDA group in general.

Some other considerations:  Anyone wanting to book a triple or quad cabin needs to pay the full cabin deposit of $500. This is because these cabins are very limited and have to be assigned.

For any cabin of $2000 or more which is purchased with an American Express card, that cardholder will receive a $100 account credit.

You can call me directly at (800) 461-8484 ext 2656.  I'd be happy to answer any questions and assist you in your decision.  Warm Regards - Susie Segal.
