TDA Day promises to be MUCH less stressful this year than in years past. We’re very excited to tell you about some of the changes we’ve made! Last year you came to the East Avenue studios in Livermore where you were able to purchase your tickets to the recital, register for Summer and Fall classes, and pre-order dancewear at a discount. The downside was that it took some folks nearly three hours to get through all the lines! We think forcing our customers to wait in line is simply unacceptable.

This year we’ve implemented online ticketing, online registration, and online dancewear sales to alleviate the stress of standing in line. Now, instead of driving to the studio, standing in line for a few hours and driving home, you can do everything from the comfort of your home in about 10 minutes. How sweet is that!!!???

STEP 1: On the morning of April 23^rd at 9 a.m. go to tiffanydance.com to purchase your reserved seating BIG Show concert tickets. (If you are in the Twinkle Stars Show you may order tickets now and register for Fall classes on April 23^rd).

To purchase tickets for The Big Show, , click on the link to purchase Big Show tickets from the TDA homepage and follow the instructions. You’ll be able to select your reserved seats and pay for your tickets. The company we are using to fulfill ticket orders will then mail the tickets right to your house! The fee that the company charges for this service will be credited back to you (up to $15) in the form of a tuition credit for Fall 2005-06! In order to qualify for the credit, you must register online for Fall 2005-06 classes by April 30^th. This fee “rebate” is valid only for online ticket orders.

For those of you who don’t “embrace” the Internet, you may still come to Tiffany’s Dance Academy, 4046 East Avenue, in Livermore to purchase your tickets starting at 9 a.m. on April 23^rd. Volunteers are standing by to help!

STEP 2: Once you’ve ordered your tickets it’s time to register for Fall 2005-06 classes (see article on page 2 about online registration). Why would you register now for classes that are not starting for another four months? There are two reasons: 1. Registering early ensures your dancer will get the class she/he wants next year. 2. Registering on April 23^rd entitles you to a $10 credit toward the purchase of your dancewear at Tiffany’s Dancewear. When you combine the $10 dancewear credit with the available 15% value menu discount, most dancers will save about 25% on their dancewear for next year. For more info on the value menu, see page 2.

3. DANCEWEAR SELECTION:

As mentioned above, after registering for classes for next fall, you will receive a $10 credit toward the purchase of your dancewear… but ONLY if you order your dancewear on April 23^rd. You may order at the dancewear store or by calling (925) 447-5299. You may also choose to order online, but the $10 credit and 15% value menu discount will not be applied online. Instead, we will issue a September 2005 tuition credit for the value of your discounts for all items ordered online. This is necessary because our online dancewear system does not “talk” to our registration system at this time.

June Concert Survival Packet and June Concert Information

All families will receive a copy of the “Survival” packet on TDA Day when they purchase tickets. If you purchase online we will mail the survival packet to your home.

Dancer Evaluations and Summer and Fall Level Recommendations

All dancers will receive an evaluation completed by his/her teacher.

Copies of the Summer ’05 and Fall 05-06 schedules will be made available sometime between April 10^th and April 20^thso you can determine what classes to enroll in for next season. Evaluations will be given out in class. If you have not received one by April 20^th, please let the office and/or the teacher know.

What is a Value Menu Discount?

A fifteen percent discount on dancewear is offered to students who purchase:

Twinkle Babies ages 2-3 and Twinkle Stars ages 3-4: 1 Pink leotard, 1 pair of pink ballet shoes, 2 pairs of pink tights, 1 pair of black tap shoes and 1 pink skirt.

Twinkle Stars ages 4-5 and 5-6: 1 lilac leotard, 1 pair of pink ballet shoes, 2 pairs of pink tights, 1 pair of black tap shoes and 1 lilac skirt.

Combo ages 6-8 and Pre and Jr. Ballet: 1 light blue leotard, 1 pair of pink ballet shoes, 2 pairs of pink tights, 1 light blue skirt (except for ballet – no skirts allowed).

Jazz and Tap – all levels: 1 black leotard, 1 pair of black jazz shoes or 1 pair of black tap shoes, 2 pairs of black convertible tights, 1 pair of jazz shorts or pants.

Ballet Levels 1+: 1 black camisole leotard, 2 pairs of pink convertible tights, 1 pair of ballet shoes.

Hip-Hop – No dress code!

Note: if ordering dancewear online, the 15% discount will be issued as a tuition credit. We are unable to display the value of the discount on our current online ordering system.

Online Registration

Continuing Students must have a username and password!

If you are a continuing student and would like to register online, please email your email address to paul@tiffanydance.com immediately!

This is mandatory because our new online registration system uses your email address as your username. Our privacy policy can be viewed at www.tiffanydance.com. Your email address will be kept confidential.

Additionally, we will assign temporary passwords to each family’s account. The temporary password shall be the first six characters of your address. This includes spaces and capital letters. For example if your address is 2055 S. Livermore. Your password would be:

“2055 S”

Once you’ve successfully logged in, you may change your payment information; modify your contact and student information; view current class enrollment; enroll in classes; drop waitlisted classes; review your account charges, payments, and any balances due.

Daddy/Daughter Rehearsals

The next rehearsal for the daddy/daughter dance is on April 30^th. The times are:

Twinkle Star Showcase 10:30 am show for dancers 3-4 and 4-5 years old. Rehearse from 8:30 am – 9:30 am.

Twinkle Star Showcase 1:30 and 4:30 shows for dancers 3-4 and 4-5 years old rehearse from 9:30 am – 10:15 am.

Big Show 11 am and 3 pm shows for dancers ages 5-6 years of age rehearse from 10:15 – 11 am.

Big Show 11 am and 3 pm shows for dancers ages 7-8 and 9+ rehearse from 11 am – 12 noon.
