Tiffany’s Dance Academy “Drags” Home Four Big Awards

Livermore, Calif.-November 26, 2001 - Tiffany’s Dance Academy was the big winner Thanksgiving weekend at the Tremaine Dance Convention in San Francisco, CA. Performing “Dragnet” for the first time this season, Alisha Mullally, Krystle Macor, Alexandrite Theodore, Cybil Nelson, and Kayla McColm, surprisingly took home the most coveted award of the competition-Overall High Score. The piece was also awarded a First Place in the Teen Jazz category. “We are very excited to win the award because the dancers really had to come together over the past six weeks to learn the difficult choreography. I couldn’t be more proud of these girls,” said Tiffany Henderson, Director of the performing company and owner of Tiffany’s Dance Academy. In addition to the awards for “Dragnet”, Alisha Mullally won an individual award after attending a three-hour long audition. She was one of 6 dancers chosen from over two-hundred to win the Convention Scholarship award. The biggest individual award of the weekend; however, went to Krystle Macor. She was the one dancer chosen from over 300 in her age group to receive a Scholarship to the Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA.
