Valentina Elovskaya – brings twenty-one years of professional experience in dance performance and stage work worldwide. She has performed a variety of roles in both classical and contemporary ballets, such as Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadere, La Sylphide, Paquita, Don Quixote, Spartacus, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, Carmen, Anna Karenina, and Legend of Love among others.
She has over seventeen years of experience in teaching all levels of classical ballet in Russia and US. Novosibirsk State Ballet Academy, Russia: B.A., Ballet Performance and Education. She has studied with renowned choreographers, teachers and principal dancers Asaf Messerer, Maya Plisetskaya, Vladimir Vasiliev, Yuri Grigorovich, Oleg Vinogradov, Leonid Jakobson, Pierre Lacotte, Alicia Alonso at the Novosibirsk State Theater of Ballet and Moscow Classical Ballet.
Valentina has had a rich and exciting performance experience, including: Moscow Classical Ballet, 1987 – 1990; performances in the Kremlin at Congress of People’s Deputies; Novosibirsk State Theater of Ballet, 1968 – 1987; Performed a wide range of roles throughout the company’s diverse classical and modern repertoire (more than 40 different ballets); toured extensively throughout the world; Participated in numerous international festivals and competitions; Filmed performances for international television; Interim and repertory coach for the Novosibirsk Opera House, 2000-2004; Ballet instructor/choreographer, Ketchikan Ballet Academy, 1993-1994; Recipient of Alaska State Council of the Arts Grant for Swan Lake choreography, 1993; Ballet instructor, University of Alaska Anchorage, 1991-1992; Choreographer and instructor of original dance performance for Juneau Dance Workshop, 1991; Guest teacher, Moscow Choreography College, 1988-1990; Dance instructor, Novosibirsk Arts Institute, 1983-1987.
