Sarah trained for seven years at the Oakland Ballet Academy with Ron Guidi where she performed annually in the Nutcracker Ballet at Oakland’s Paramount Theater. She continued her studies at the Juline School of Dance and the Academy of Dance in Modesto, Calif.
At the University of California, Davis, Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications. While at UC Davis, Sarah studied under Byron Sedens and Corey Action and choreographed for several student groups on and off campus including The Aggie Pack Dance Team as well as her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. Sarah continued her study of ballet and jazz in France while taking a year sabbatical to work as an au pair.
In her career, Sarah has taught at eight different Bay Area pre-schools, elementary schools and recreation centers providing her with a wide spectrum of experience. Sarah also pioneered the dance program at The Quarry Lane School in Dublin, Calif.
Sarah is passionate about continuing to grow as a teacher and as a dancer. She hopes to inspire her students to never stop learning and striving to achieve their goals, for it is not the destination, but the journey that matters most.
Her favorite dance moment is dancing on her father’s feet as a child.
