Rachel began her dancing career in the East Bay of CA at the young age of 4 years old. She has undergone training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical and modern; both at the performance and competitive level. By the age of 14, she received her first scholarship from LA Dance Magic conventions, and later was awarded another from Company Dance Conventions at 17. During the summer of 2002, Rachel and her fellow competitors were invited to attend cultural exchange performances across China. That year would also mark her first collegiate experience, as both a performer and choreographer at CSU Chico. She has directed Chico’s only student-produced showcase “Chico Dance Theatre” twice and has also performed and choreographed for the Spring Seminar, Keeping Dance Alive, CSUC Expressions Dance Team, ENVY Dance Co., and for the competitive groups Fusion Dance Co., and Full Force Dance Co. Rachel completed her BA in 2007 and is currently working on her M.A. in History. Rachel has over 6 years in teaching experience, and hopes to continue teaching as well as giving back to the dance community for years to come.
