“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” William Arthur Ward
“My goal is to Inspire, encourage, motivate and guide my students to reach their goals as individuals and dancers!”
Jessi has been studying, choreographing and performing dance for more than 20 years. She began her training in the Bay Area before heading to college at the University California, Davis. While in college, Jessi joined the Pulse Dance Ensemble in Sacramento, performing in shows collaborating jazz, hip-hop and contemporary.
After graduation, Jessi moved to Los Angeles to study dance and get a taste of the audition world! The classes pushed her as a dancer and inspired her as a choreographer. While continuing to attend auditions, and build her professional dance resume, Jessi joined the Dunham Dance Company. After adding a few things to her dance resume including appearances in workout and music videos, Jessi was ready to head back to the Bay Area.
Jessi went on to study and earn her Pilates certification while teaching dance at local studios. She then joined the teaching staff at Tiffany’s Dance Academy in 2006. As the director of the Performing Company at the South San Francisco location, Jessi spends the majority of her time prepping dancers for performances and competitions. She is passionate about teaching and using dance to inspire and motivate the young to be strong, independent and confident individuals.
Her favorite dance moments are seeing my students grow as dancers and improve, this always makes her day.
