Christie began dancing at the age of three with New West Ballet School in Southern California under the professional direction of Eugenia Keefer. Here, Christie gained her love and passion for ballet while at the same time venturing into other styles of dance including jazz, tap, modern, and hip-hop.
Dancing throughout high school, Christie became dance captain on the Varsity dance team and received the Dancer of the Year award and scholarship. Christie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California Irvine, where she continued her dance training in addition to receiving a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Business Management. During her studies at UCI, she was accepted into the Education Abroad Program and studied for a year at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Christie brings with her over 25 years of dance and performance experience. She has performed roles including Swanhilda in Coppelia as well as Clara, Doll, Corps de Ballet, Russian, Arabian and Marzipan variations in The Nutcracker with New West Ballet.
Christieʼs love for dance and teaching children translates into a classroom environment that is both energetic and educational. She is looking forward to another great season with Tiffanyʼs Dance Academy.
