Amanda has been dancing, choreographing and performing for the last 15 years. She received her formal training from several studios in the Bay Area and is a product of Tiffany’s Dance Academy Performing Company. In her youth she studied under the instruction of Tiffany Henderson, Steffon Long, Rhonda Rooker, Bruce Biada, Nicole Jones and Keith Banks.
A natural performer, Amanda received numerous awards and scholarships from national dance conventions and competitions including Tremaine, NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance), KAR (Kids Artistic Review) and the University of Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase. She was voted “Most Valuable Dancer” of the American Spirit Award winning Granada High School Dance Team under the direction of Cathy Tennyson.
Amanda graduated from the University of Arizona in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minor in Dance. At the University of Arizona, she had the opportunity to study under Susan Quinn-Williams, Michael Williams and Sam Watson. She was also active in the University academic honorary system and served on the executive board of her sorority, Chi Omega.
Amanda is excited to be back in the Bay Area with her TDA family and to share in the TDA experience with her students.
